  • Falling in love with a new story – Isn’t that why we all go to the movies? To watch a story, to become invested, to escape? It doesn’t always happen, I can think of a few recent movies that made me roll my eyes, but every once in a while, I leave the theater still absorbed in what I just saw.
  • Junk food – Is there anything better than munching on some popcorn when the lights go down? I don’t eat popcorn usually, and I TRY to be good about junk food. But it’s different in the movie theater. It tastes better
  • Bonding – I have yet to experience going to the movie theater alone (though I’ve been told to try it), but it’s one of my favorite things to do with my friends. I get to see what my friends find funny or sad. And we always leave the theater debating the merits of whatever we just saw. It’s a lot of fun.
  • TRAILERS – I love, love, LOVE seeing what’s going to come. I use the trailer to help me decide what I’m going to decide what I’m going to see. Dane Cook once said that movie trailers make us critics, we decide what’s good and what’s not worth seeing. And it’s so true. I am that nerd that had to get to the theater before the movie starts because the trailers are my favorite part.

I FINALLY saw Ghostbusters today. What is the last movie you saw?
