I know I’m an adult, but I read a lot of YA fiction (even if I didn’t enjoy them, I’d try to keep up with them.  I’m a teacher, and I like being able to talk to my students about reading).  The book box I get (Uppercase) sends out new YA books every month.  So far, I’ve loved them all, but here are my top 3.

  1. My Lady Jane by Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand, and Jodi Meadows

This book was a delight.  Historical, hysterical, magical (sorry, I couldn’t think of another h word).  A consuming and fun read.  I can’t wait to go back for more.

2. P.S. I Like You by Kasie West

25486998

It started off slow and predictable, but it made up for it with a clever prose and a sweet storyline.  It was simple, but that’s what I liked about it.  It definitely felt like something I could relate to when I was a teen.

3. The Forgetting by Sharon Cameron

29341991

This is another one that I thought started off slow (and a little confusing).  I was sure I was going to put it down.  But then one more chapter… Then another… And another…  Soon I was lost in it, holding my breaths for the twists and turns.  A cool twist on dystopian society.  I really enjoyed it.
