Why I Think Game of Thrones Would Make an Interesting Musical

Here me out! I think Game of Thrones would be an amazing musical (I might be going through Game of Thrones withdrawal). I know that all of the Game of Thrones musicals out there are parodies, and there are WAAAAAAY too many movie-based musicals out there now, but I think Game of Thrones, particularly the first book/series, could potentially soar above the rest (with the right writers, of course). Dreamcast: The Royal We (by @fuggirls) as a Broadway Musical

I’m sure I’m not the only romance author out there living for Prince Harry’s engagement to Meghan Markle. I mean, it’s practically right out of a novel. In fact, it echoes one of my favorite novels in many ways, The Royal We, by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan. (Have you read it yet? If not, please do. Let’s talk about it.) So for today’s blog, I thought I’d combine two of my favorite things: The Royal We and Broadway Dreamcasts.

So if they were to make The Royal We into a Broadway show (which they should), here’s who I’d want to see cast (NOTE: I am casting slightly on the older side because of the number of years the book covers and because people usually read slightly younger onstage).

I’M BACK!!!

Hello fellow bloggers!

After an unexpectedly long summer hiatus, I am back! And better than ever. Even dealing with a heat wave and no AC.

Top 5 Best Disney Stage Musicals (according to me)

So this is going to be my last blog for a few weeks (I’ll be back). I’m leaving for vacation in a week, and things are going to be hectic. Feel free to follow me over on Twitter (@edohertyauthor) for all of the vacation fun.

Where am I going, you ask? DISNEY WORLD. It’s pretty much my favorite place, and I am insanely excited.
So for today’s blog, I thought that I would rank my five favorite Disney stage musicals.  For the record, I love them all. But these ones hold special places in my heart. (NOTE: I have NOT seen all of these on Broadway. In fact, most of them have been regional productions or national tours.)
