With Infinity War being released this week, I am in complete Avengers mode. I am so excited and so nervous about what’s going to happen! So for today’s blog, I thought I would combine two of my favorite things: Broadway and The Avengers. Without further ado, here’s who should play some of The Avengers in a hypothetical Broadway musical:
Tony Stark/Iron Man – Raul Esparza – If anyone can get Tony’s sass and sarcasm down, it’s Mr. Esparza.
Steve Rogers/Captain America – Billy Magnussen – He’s so handsome and all-American. Dreamy.
Thor – Adam Jacobs – Okay, so I know he’d have to wear a blonde wig, but he’s got the physique and the underlying sweetness.
Black Widow – Lena Hall – Black Widow is a badass. So is Lena Hall. Perfect casting.
Hawkeye – Will Swenson – He’s got the intense eyes that would work for the team’s archer.
Bruce Banner – Steve Kazee – He’s got a sweet, nerdy vibe that I think would work really well for the resident scientist.
The Hulk – Shuler Hensley – But we’ve got to bring in the big guns for the big guy.
Maria Hill – Kate Shindle – Who better to play a tough secret agent than the leader of Actor’s Equity?
Agent Coulson – Norbert Leo Butz – I’ll be honest with you, this guy is so incredible that I’d just try to cast him in everything.
Loki – Benjamin Walker – Did anyone see him play Patrick Bateman? He can play funny AND creepy. Perfect combination for Loki.
Nick Fury – Norm Lewis – Look, I think we all saw how cool he was in Jesus Christ Superstar. So put on the eye patch and let’s go.
